In 2003 United States Navy veteran John Peasley returned to his childhood vacation area, Williams, Arizona. There, he purchased his first businesses White Horse Trading Post and Cruisers Route 66 Café cruisers66.com.
Then, in 2007, Peasley decided to start brewing up his own liquid gold and founded the Grand Canyon Brewing Company. His goal was to create a brand that paid homage to the breathtaking landscape and the adventurous lifestyle of living in Williams, Arizona. With one of the few natural wonders of the world located right in his backyard, the Grand Canyon, he set his sights on capturing its majestic beauty through the Grand Canyon Brewing Company.
brewing the spirit of the Grand Canyon ...
At Grand Canyon Brewing + Distillery, we tip our hats to the bold, adventurous spirit of the Old West while perfecting the art of brewing and distilling in the heart of Northern Arizona. From our roots in Williams—"The Gateway to the Grand Canyon"—we’ve been rustling up world-class beer since 2007 and spirits since 2017, capturing the rugged beauty and pioneering grit in every pint and pour.
Like a good cattle drive, our journey has blazed trails all across Arizona, with locations in Flagstaff, Page, and Kingman. Each outpost offers a unique experience, from the 40-barrel "Silver City" brewhouse in Williams to the experimental small-batch production of Flagstaff’s 5-barrel system. At our Page location, the famous firehouse has been transformed into a craft showcase, where the Bohemian Monobloc system that started this adventure is on display.
Our brewing process is a carefully honed craft, balancing tradition with innovation. Starting with the finest quality hops and malts, we craft signature beers, inspired by our great state, like the refreshing Prickly Pear Wheat Ale and the hop-forward Hop Canyon IPA.
For those seeking something off the beaten path, our brewmaster in Kingman is busy pushing the brewing boundaries and producing exclusive and experimental brews on our JV Northwest brewhouse that anchors our mid-batch operations, located on historic Beale Street, inside the still intact Kingman Club.
In 2017, we expanded into distilling, launching a grain-to-glass operation that showcases local ingredients and Arizona-grown grains. Our scratch-made spirits, from rich whiskeys to crisp vodkas, reflect the precision and passion of our team. With ready-to-drink cocktails rounding out the lineup, we’ve combined the convenience of the present with the quality craftsmanship of the past.
Each of our locations embodies the rugged charm of the West with a modern twist. Whether you’re warming your hands by the roaring fireplace in Williams, sampling exclusive brews in Flagstaff and Kingman, or enjoying a cold pint just a few steps from Horseshoe Bend in Page, our taprooms invite you to relax, connect, and taste the craft.
Grand Canyon Brewing + Distillery isn’t just a name—it’s a legacy of Northern Arizona’s untamed spirit, where the breathtaking beauty of the Grand Canyon meets the timeless craft of brewing and distilling.
